No-Bake Chocolate Oat Sharing Bites

🍫🥜

A sweet, squishy treat made for little hands to mix—and even littler hands to share.

Why this works for two kids

These bites are soft, naturally sweet, and made without heat. The recipe makes a small batch that’s perfect for two kids to split—rolling, counting, and sharing equally at the end.

🧺 Ingredients
• 1 cup rolled oats
• ½ cup creamy peanut butter (or sunflower butter for nut-free)
• ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
• 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (optional but fun!)

🍴 Tools Needed
• Medium mixing bowl
• Measuring cups & spoons
• Spoon or rubber spatula
• Plate or small tray

👩‍🍳👧 Instructions
1. Add everything to the bowl.
(Kid Step ⭐)
Let the kids take turns pouring ingredients into the bowl. Talk about textures—dry oats, sticky peanut butter, sweet honey.
2. Mix, mix, mix!
(Adult Help 💛)
Start the mixing to combine the thick ingredients, then let kids finish once it comes together. This is a great arm workout and patience lesson.
3. Roll into bites.
(Kid Step ⭐)
Scoop out small spoonfuls and roll into balls. Aim for about 10–12 bites. Encourage the kids to count and make them “all the same size.”
4. Share and enjoy.
(Kid Step ⭐)
Place the bites on a plate and help the kids divide them evenly—half for each child.

💡 Gentle Notes for Grandparents
• If the mixture feels too sticky, sprinkle in a few more oats.
• If it’s too dry, add a tiny drizzle of honey.
• This is a perfect moment to talk about taking turns, counting, and fair sharing.
• Expect a little mess—and enjoy it. The memories matter more than clean counters.
