  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni slices (optional)
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Kid bonus: fun toppings like sliced olives, diced bell peppers, or mini pepperoni!

🍽️ Tools

  • Oven mitts

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 °F (220 °C).
    • Adult: handle the oven!
  2. Cut the dough into small oval shapes using the cookie cutter or cup — about the size of a mini bread roll.
    • Kids: press shapes and have fun with it!
  3. Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Brush gently with a little olive oil so they get golden in the oven.
    • Adult: supervise the brushing step and help kids with coating.
  5. Spread a teaspoon of pizza sauce on each oval and sprinkle with mozzarella. Add pepperoni or other toppings if you like.
    • Kids: decorate your “football” with your favorite toppings!
  6. Bake 10–12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are golden.
    • Adult: monitor the oven and remove when done.
  7. Let cool briefly, then use thin strips of cheese or a little pizza sauce to pipe the “laces” so they look like tiny footballs.
    • Kids: draw the laces — the fun finishing touch!
